We study the electronic and thermal properties of materials at the nanoscale.
We use nanofabrication techniques to design electronic devices with tailored electronic properties. At low temperatures, close to absolute zero, novel phenomena due to quantum mechanics and electron emerge in these structures.
These novel phenomena can be harnessed to engineer novel electronic properties with applications ranging from high-speed electronics to quantum information or photodetection.
